Reach out! Reach up!
Climb the highest height
Follow your dreams
Let hope give you wings
Be brave, be bold, be strong!
Look to a new day
A bright not a blue day
Stand straight, walk tall, be you
For you are unique, you burn so bright
You, the wonderful you!
Written in response to Sadje‘s What do You See #87 photo prompt.

The image shows a wall decorated by splashes of colour. There are outlined sketches of two hands on the wall. Above the decorations, the words “The best gift is you” are written. A woman can be seen walking a baby in a stroller in the front.
A wonderful “you” too! 😊 This could be sent to all the daughters in the world. 🤗👍💖

This was such an uplifting poem, I’m sure that your daughter appreciates having a mother like you who wants her to live her own dreams so much and encourages her to stand tall and be herself. This is good advice for every daughter. ❤

I would’ve liked to think so, but I never could have children. The advise stands though. We all need encouragement and support to help us try to live our dreams. 🙂

Oh I’m so sorry, I took it a little literally. You’re right, the advice definitely still stands.

Oh, no need to apologise! The door to motherhood was closed to me from early on in my life, but many other opportunities were open to me instead: lots of travel and a great career, and I took huge pleasure in being part of my friend’s kids lives.

What a cheery reminder that the best way to live is to embrace our true selves (I just argued with myself for 5 mins over true selfs vs true selves… we don’t do f into ves in Scots, 😂).
Thanks for that wee boost to the spirit, Chris. P.S. You’re wonderful, too!
