She’d always been a great Maker of Lists:
(her memory was awful)
to do lists,
shopping lists,
books to read,
movies to see,
places to go,
even lists of lists!
She’d always said:
‘if I put it on the list, it will happen’.
And usually it did.
But now, on this, her birthday,
another milestone passed (largely unmarked),
it dawned on her.
Perhaps now, not everything on her great List of Lists
could be achieved (especially the books).
Future plans might have to be
a little less ambitious.

Just being a little more realistic, Zelda. Not everything is off her list by any means! 🙂

There comes a time that people realize that somethings are more important than others. I like your conclusion about letting go of a few things so that one can enjoy more of others. Thanks for joining in

For me, that day has come! It feels quite liberating.

That’s is really great! I’ve reach that stage too. Living life as well as I can is more important than achieving goals that may not be even relevant to me now.

A review may delete some, but also add new ones to the list. I won’t get back to certain situations, but there are these books I wish to write about them 🙂

Cool photo prompt.
Lists. From the perspective of age. There are certain birthdays, once attained remind of us, while they are good/helpful, lists have a propensity to morph into something else. In the most simplistic of terms, lists are about the future. A future, promise to no one (as the saying goes). Here’s to today!
Thanks for the reminder, Chris 😊

For many years, I have made a list, and I added something to it from time to time. We can never have everything we wish, but we can have a list as long as we want! Happy birthday, lovely wise friend.

Sounds like me to an extent, lol. I start the weeks with a list and do my best to cross something off daily. Mainly small realistic projects though, haha. Have a great week!

Being realistic takes away a lot of the stress of an uncompleted list! Enjoy your week, too 🙂

My list is always changing, Chris… it’s no wonder I hardly get to see anything on it! Although, using your post as an example, I’d better start looking at it a little more closely before I find it being a little too late!

What about when you accomplish something you’ve been meaning to do and it’s not on any of your lists? If that happens to me, I will add it to a list just so I can cross it off!😂 Happy birthday, by the way! 🎂🥳🎁

Hi Chris, my apologies for not messaging you for your birthday yesterday. Michael fell off the sports stands at school during war cry practice and he has concussion. It was rather a stressed day yesterday. I hope your day was a good one. WRT lists, it is good to have written goals and to aim for them. Like you, I have more goals than I have time for but who knows, maybe you’ll live to be 100.

Gosh, no need to apologise, Robbie. Is Michael okay?
But even if I were to live to 100 I doubt I’d get through all the books I’d accumulate!
LikeLiked by 1 person
I think Michael will be fine. He is very tired and has a headache if he tries to do anything on a screen or concentrate on anything complex. Not the best way to start the school year, but it is what it is.
