We had been spying from another building for most of the morning. There was something going on down there. That large open-air swimming pool was the target.
Definitely.

We continued to watch while eating and drinking, but not moving our eyes.
Everything must be tangible. Real… really real, as we peered down.
Whatever would occur, we would be ready.

That must be the actual target.
Both of us were in agreement.
It was time to go.

It wouldn’t take too long.
We’re not deluded. Definitely not.
But something had gone wrong.
Still, we would be fine.
We’ll just deny everything.

The two of them would continue to stay there all the time.
They’re very close to the lovely lake, such a good idea.
Pretty, too.

Maybe they are thinking.
About what?
Well, anything.
Or maybe nothing.
So, which?
I’d say… and again

Reminiscing.

I do.

Pretty, aren’t they.
Of course.
Those excellent chairs.
Oh yes, bright pink.
Pink?
I thought it was more mauve?
Really?
I’d say so.
Okay, not a problem.

Anything else we should say?
Anything meaningful?
No.
Let’s just scatter them down there.
Now, enough, let’s go.

Desperately don’t want to go there. Horrid, really horrid. Actually, pure hell. No really. These things are more than scary. Nope. Not going there.
