An open road
so many possibilities
but without you
I have no direction.
The way ahead
beckons
but without you
I am lost.
We always trod
life’s path together
but now, without you
I don’t know which way to turn.

The image shows a winding road, overhung by branches of a big tree. You can see greenery on both sides of the road and wildflowers.

Sooner or later, this will happen to most of us… too sad to even think about it…

What more reason can we need, as “together we ride into that perfect point in time and space…”?

I know how this feels, Chris… the road ahead looks very different, but all we can do is keep moving forward; use what was as a guide to help with what is to come.

I can imagine these feelings from the many widow and widowers I have known and know.
Also I think this fits when parents loose children and when children loose parents…

All these, I think, Jules. Although I particularly had in mind how a person might feel over the loss of a life-partner.
