So much has changed in my haemorrhage stroke, but at least I’m getting better. Slowly (very slowly) does it.
Now I get the gist of things in reading and writing. Before I would copy and paste on Word on my laptop were I can Read Aloud on Review. It’s not great but it’s all right. Of course, your clever people who read aloud on WordPress are fun. I can read pretty well now too and I can pop a little reply here and there.
Meanwhile, I will enjoy the Tour de France for three weeks. Just as I watched last year, although I could hardly speak at all then, and now I’m so much better, though there are quite a few of bumps in the way as I talk. It will get there, I’m sure.
And we love to walk on over the beach, right by the ocean, near Cape Town – the best therapy, I know. Apart from all your excellent posts from WordPress.
That’s it – see you later!
This is our beach!

My dear Chris, looking back at time elapsed from such life-altering incidents is unavoidable.
Painful…yes. How can it not be?
Yet… there is also a huge core of hope and resolve.
How very appropriate the mention of Tour de France!
Exactly like the winner of the gruelling climb Col de Portet, you and Cliff can look back and say: Frak yeah, we did it!
And you know I don’t just say that as a kind comment; I mean every single word.
So, yeah… big hug and much love.

It’s so good to hear that your recovery is going well, Chris, and I am delighted to know that you are beginning to be able to engage more in the things that you like. (Lovely beach by the way). Hopefully with the support of your loved ones (not to mention the host of wonderful characters to whom you have given life) you will recover fully and swiftly. My best to you. Chris.

Very good to hear you, here at your blog.
Have appreciated your emojae and such at the usual places, but there is something extra about a new post from your virtual home. Call it another step forward an additional incremental return to the community of virtual friends.
very cool.
There is nothing, imo, more conducive to feeling the world directly than a walk beside the ocean.
Good work.

Thanks so much, Cassa. I’ve reading from ‘Creation and the Cosmos’ again. Isn’t it lovely. You are one of my favourite. For some reason it’s easy to read a book than a laptop.

I totally agree, a book has live, from a laptop feels flat. That’s how I feel about an actual book vs screen.
Creation and Cosmos is a wonderful collection. šš»

HI Chris, I am very happy to know you continue to recover. Having lived through my husband’s mild stroke and seizure on 4 January, I know what an earth shattering experience this is for everyone in a family. Terence and I were in the GP’s office when he had his stroke and seizure and that immediate medical intervention has made a huge difference to his recovery, which is deemed to be in full. Although, I can see changes they are okay and I can manage them better now I understand them better. It was a big strain a few months ago but we all adjust. Sending you huge hugs and many healing thoughts.

Hi Robbie, I hope you, Terence and a boys are having a good time with lots of animals!
I understand that ‘getting better’ and ‘getting properly better’ are very different things. The healing can take a very long time, but I’m hoping that Terence (and me) can continue to get better. Loves and hugsšš¤
