A journey around the stars

The red-headed writer, aka the Raconteuse, had realise that she had been wandering for months, maybe for years.

But what had happened? she remembered seeing a large ship and she had been shivering on the beach; she was dripping and all she could think was that she couldn’t write because the pen and paper were too wet.

Things became very strange – she was striding over mountains and across lakes, moving around so many places, she looked over oceans – was it the big, beautiful bridge, San Francisco? – and then she moved farther and farther away.

She hovered over the clouds and she felt her heart beat singing with joy; her mind, her spirit and even her soul, brimming over with glee. She thought that she had been to the stars as far as the milky way and back again.

But now she was back properly; the Raconteuse walk across the street, then hailed a cab, whistling loudly, ‘taxi!’

  2. Taxi?! Oh, no, no… disembark and get into that black Lincoln following you… yes, it’s the same one from that SSCB-all-girls-night-out a few years ago (years…damn…btw, Denise you still owe us the revelation of the tattoo).

  5. Oh, yeah, the Raconteuse is back. Back with tales and stories culled from the Milky Way itself! I believe I know exactly where she’s telling that taxi to take her! (and it ain’t to Central Park, lol. Excellent Les Dudek song, btw)

  7. … the awe of members of a nameless village hearing whispers of <em>’She’s back’ ‘No way… no one could have survived such a calamity’ Nevertheless she has'</em>

    Heads turn, silence ensues and is almost immediately broken by a swell of greetings ranging from the formal, ‘<em>Welcome back</em>’ to the … err more unsophisticated if not enthusiastic, <em>’All riight!'</em>

  20. There have been times I’ve done similar. When hubby was working out of state and I got to go with him. He worked – and I wondered the towns. It was fun to do. Go to museums, long walks on beaches… window shop. 🙂
