My office
That’s right it’s me – not the red-headed writer (aka the Raconteuse) nor the fictional woman (also a red-head person too) – this time… it’s just me: so why?
Hold a pen
hold a mouse
different?
Type on the laptop
sooo sloow
oh dear.
The problem is my right hand is not working very well and it is very difficult to write (not good) and it is more than irritation – it’s a bad blow; but still I am sure it well get better soon (I hope).
But even if I was going to write the next episode in the SSS about the Hemingway House it would not be the proper thing to do, since Florida is right in the middle of the path of Hurricane Milton at the moment.
Okay so, just be safe and we will see you soon:

Sunday’s Six Sentence Story Word Prompt: TYPE

Well said, Chris.
( it will get better provided you task it often enough; write a bit when not in the middle of transferring your inspiration.
Do simple tasks with your hand; they add up over time.
A human hand is quite complex, so rehabilitation progresses from broad movement to finely tuned.
Time, perseverance, patience).

Hi Nick, and thanks. I am really lucky as my hand is very much better – bad cramping (plus a trip to the ER on Sunday).

Maybe you could try dictating while your hand is out of action. Google and Microsoft word have one? We hope that hurricane gives you a wide berth… 💖

Mmm, I could try to do dictating… (maybe). Thanks😊

Of course, it’s You, it has been always You, who takes me to the Moon by her writing, even sloow!🤗💖🫂 You made great progress, and it can go only forward. I hope this hurricane will not be as terrible as it looks like! Take care, my lovely Chris. 🌹🥰💖

I was reading this at 1:00 a.m. so decided to wait until I was more awake to respond. I love your office picture. Is that a kitty mouse pad off to the side? So cute! I think you’ve done amazing with how far you have come with your recovery. Having hand issues has to be maddening though, especially for a writer. I have a friend who shattered her elbow last summer and it took a whole year of exercises and three surgeries to get back to “almost normal”. Keep up the good work! 😀🐱🐼

Tee-hee, I’m impressed that you could see my mouse pad with all little kitties on it, I’ve had it for about 20 years; it’s a little frayed now, but still so cute! It seems that my little brain may have done a short wibble but now it’s better and in fact more than better – I had ECG, CAT, MRI and lots of blood (don’t look) – but everything was fine.
So now it’s morning for me (09.45) but you are in the night-time (00.45)😊😎💞

Woo-Hoo! I’m glad your tests all came out good! That’s awesome! Here I am, still awake at 1:00 a.m. again, but there’s a sleepy kitty and panda on the bed by me. 🐱🐼 I must be having too much coffee too late in the day…wait, is that even possible?🤣☕️☕️

to add, though all the previous correspondents are far more eloquent in matters such as you Sixify*
imo, your knowing what is to be regained/recovered/restored yet being comfortable/patient/accepting of the time it may take, is surely the most positive/productive quality that a person ‘on-the-mend’ might strive for
ya know?
*yeah, weird like that lol
