but, of course, she’ll tell
she wants to be an actress
and why not? you see
she can be anything!

Love this! It makes me think of a little girl I had as a student in my English learners class in around 2008. She came from India in 7th grade, not knowing a word of English. I’ve kept in touch with her over the years, and just this June got to attend her graduation from the police academy! 😀She would agree with your poem!
