thank you, Misky
Scatty had been waving a flyer about the fair, while running around from bedroom to bedroom, ‘come on, it’s only in the next town and we’re able to get there very easily – come on, a lovely fair – there will be all sorts of things… who’s in?’
‘What a wonderful idea,’ said The Old One, ‘I wear such style, of course, boot and suit required, don’t you think?’ as he began to hum.
Joan was also up for this, ‘I do hope they have dodgems and I’m great at playing catapult… come on, Francis, you’ll come, won’t you?’ as she looked down, but he was still reading, while lying on the chaise-longue.
He craned over to see the flyer, ‘give it to me,’ as he slowly sat up, ‘see the date… it was last week – it’s already gone,’ Joan and Scatty stared at it, ‘daft, both of you,’ said Francis.
‘Just as well,’ said the red-head woman, who had been packing everything into her big bag, plus a small suitcase which contained various goodies, ‘time to go back to Paris, anyone else?’
The two gargoyles had been busy using their phones, since it seemed that everyone would like to go back to Paris: they shouted, ‘the limousine would be arriving shortly – the car, the man and the dark shades… and here it is,’ the two of them said to each other, ‘he looks very familiar… isn’t he an actor?’ – ‘but I thought he was dead, still nothing new there!’

This sounds thrilling indeed. I’mma have to start it from earlier stages. This part about going to the fair alone has proven that it’s an enchanting read. 💯❤️

Your very kind about my nonsense – fun though (I think). If you wanted to read back that should work from previously / next episode. 😉😊

Hah, I read somewhere today that good writing places human feelings and associations at the centre of it. And that’s what I’ve come across here. I’ll be reading it. You’re most welcome 💕

Aww, thanks so much!! I hope you enjoy😊

Another intriguing installment, Chris! Paris instead of a fair? Sounds like a good trade-off. In “Casablanca,” Bogart didn’t say: “We’ll always have fair.”

Good one, Dave! You’re right… only Paris…always.
Lucky that lot all live in Montmartre.😉

What a fun little read, Chris. A flurry of activity and some interesting characters! Oh well about the fair. Off to Paris it seems. 🙂 😀

Glad that you enjoyed that, Diana. Those characters will be very happy to be home in Paris again – (we hope).😊

Thanks, Nick, and Happy New Year… miles and miles around the world, but at least it’s the same time from South Africa to Greece!!

It is a good thing Francis noticed that the fair was last week. Paris, at least, is an all-year round event.

That’s right, so many things to do in Paris.

There is always a fair somewhere. In fact, in Louisiana there is a fair or festival scheduled for every weekend of the year.

Oh no they missed the fair but perhaps more exciting things are waiting for them in Paris 💖

It was a shame that those guys missed the fair, although possibly a little too much for the vampires and even more so for those two gargoyles, but still, Paris, wonderful Paris, awaits…

I don’t think I’ve ever experienced a proper fair in my life. Perhaps I will one day. I’ve done amusement parks though.

I have been to fairs in the UK and France – usually in a town or village, but that was many, many years ago… not sure that they happen now! Shame.

Hmmm… and actor or a singer… Another Elvis sighting. There is a series of books where Elvis is a sort of vampire who dines on…kitties instead of people!
LikeLiked by 1 person
Oh no! Definitely not. No kitties getting hurt! Horror😱
Elvis? Hmm…

I think ‘that’ was in the Sookie Stackhouse series by Charlaine Harris…”Southern” Vampires!! (US states that is.) Started in 2001 – 2009. Elvis didn’t show up until mid way I think. ‘He’ is called Bubba… but doesn’t show up in the TV/movie? adaptations because of conflict with the Elvis estate.

(PS I just saw that today would have been Elvis’ 90th birthday!)

Interesting both… but isn’t Elvis still with us? At least in the US of A!

‘His’ music and Graceland will always be with us…but the man… not so much. If he only took just a tad better care of himself.
