They all piled into the limo; the two gargoyles bagged the back, Francis was happy to lounge on the third row, and Joan and Scatty sat in the middle; the red head woman was clutching her big bag, and The Old One sat almost at the front: now they were ready to go.
‘How long will this take?’ asked Scatty, ‘will we need a hotel, perhaps?’– ‘honestly, don’t be silly,’ said the nearer gargoyle, ‘I estimate it’ll take six hours,’ while looking around at the chauffeur.
But before the chauffeur could speak, The Old One said: ‘I know who you are,’ as everyone turned to look at him; meanwhile the other gargoyle said: ‘well, we thought he was an actor, right from the start.’
The chauffeur glided to a stop, then turned around taking his shades off; ‘I have been an actor for many years, and yes, I’m not able to do it anymore, I’m not dead, nor a vampire, no, I’m an immortal, but never mind that.’
The Old One almost shouted: ‘you’ve been in many, many Dracula films haven’t you – and rather raunchy back in the day, but my favourite film (two actually) was the Doctor – you were Doctor Who.’
‘Oh yes,’ as he smiled back, ‘I remember that machine… the TARDIS, great wasn’t it,’ then The Old One added, ‘I had a bit part, I was an extra in that, I was a Dalek, no speaking part but I was very hostile and menacing… oh, happy days!’

Peter Cushing was an amazing actor.
And with him on the driver’s seat along with Lana on the radio, I’d say you are pretty well set uo, Chris!

So glad that you put up that name. Good old Peter Cushion, excellent.
I think this one might run for a bit. What fun!
Thanks, Nick!

Excellent story telling, although I will admit I am late to the game.
There’s no such thing as being late for a brilliant rendition of Summertime, though is there?

Aww, thanks so much! I remember you… lovely to see you, Violet. I will be scuttling back to read yours soon!

A great, quirky story continuation, Chris — with an MV (motor vehicle) part of the MO (modus operandi).

That must be quite a sight to see two gargoyles riding in the back of a limo!!

Lucky that this limo is very well tinted on the sides and the back!

Aw, shucks! I wanted to see those gargoyles riding in style . . .

Brilliant as always Chris. Slightly worried that the gargoyles will scratch the upholstery…

Ooh, I hadn’t thought about that. Hmm.

I like what you’ve done here, Chris, especially the nod to Doctor Who! The song was a delightful bonus.

So glad that you liked that, Keith! – and yes, the Doctors, lots of them, but my favourite will always be Tom Baker – don’t mention to Mr Cushing though.

Fun, Chris. I’ve never watched Dr. Who and now need to do that! Love the song ❤

Glad you enjoy that, Diana. I guess the Doctors (there have been many) are very British. Hard to know where to start! So we will stick to Peter Cushing as an actor for this!!

There are all kinds of bizarre characters in these stores: the dead, the vampires and now the immortals.
I wonder if I could play the part of a Dalek if I could fit inside the container.

Yes, I am afraid there are lots of weird characters (but fun). I’ve been thinking about the Daleks, and probably the gargoyles could get in to them, but something tells me… no, don’t do it!

wonderful Chris. Just watched the old Hammer Hound of the Baskervilles movie, absolutely fantastic.

All those great old movies in the Hammer horror vein – just fun now, but still wonderful.

Its a good thing the chauffeur is no longer acting. He played pure unadulterated evil parts…and loved it! Nice one Chris.

I think the only time I’ve really heard of Dr Who is when it comes up in a crossword puzzle 😬 But interesting to see what happens next to all the characters!

Aha, I hadn’t realised that Doctor Who was very English and not anywhere else. So that was interesting – I will need to make sure that the characters will make sense around what is happening! But, no problem, I’m sure (I think).🤔

It could just be me though, because I actually haven’t had TV since 1987, and haven’t been to movies since then either. 🤔

Hmm, I bet there are audio books somewhere about Doctor Who, but not to worry!!

I’ve only see a few episodes of Dr. Who… but I did know what the story was refering to perhaps not exactly who though 😉

Mmm, I know, as I said just before… Doctor Who has been old and new, from series and films, but mostly in the UK though!

Before there was such a thing as a BBC channel… there was PBS Public Broadcasting Station, which showed UK series and shows. 🙂
