Gosh, a book club, how exciting
Can we go?
I don’t see why not.
What time does it say?
Ah, let’s see.
Here it is, look
It’s next week, Monday
And in the evening
Six o’clock – that’s perfect!
and so we both went
it was great – reading more books
heaven, pure heaven!

For the visually challenged reader, this image shows a sign that says;
“Book Club” – Meets every month- This sign is lit with sunlight coming through a window.
In front of the sign there’s a vase with fresh flowers, a note book and a pen.
Written in response to Sadje‘s What Do You See #272 photo prompt.

Wonderful post 🌅🌅

Very good point, Aladin, especially some of the book clubs who read non-fiction with lots of deep and clever conversations. 🧐📚😉

I love a good book club. Joined one in my teenage years and have always tried to stay involved and encourage younger readers. Good post, Chris

Oh excellent, Nigel. I am impressed the way you have been in a book club in the past, and now that you’re helping younger readers. Good for you!

Children love having mentors. They want us to share their world and be a part of ours. Thank you Chira.

Shame about that, Violet – maybe somewhere else will work out soon. I always try to be optimistic at whatever I do, including making things up!

Ah, to talk about books with others. A friend and I still enjoy chatting, but I’ve never dared enter the “official” community club that meets at the library. Perhaps I should give it a try sometime!

Could be good, although you have a great place in WP where we can listen as you read and talk and read again about new books in your library.

xxxx ah yes, true. but sometimes, I miss that live interaction.
But then I go places like a university conference, and I realize how poorly I handle live interaction, lol xxxx

There are some folks who bring books to the bowling leauge and will read between their turn. Good way to start a conversation and I even trade books with another avid reader. 🙂

I’m in a book club right now – the books aren’t to my liking thus far, but it’s nice to be among people who don’t act like reading is another chore to complete
