two weeks
in a lovely villa
pristine and beautiful
a poem, maybe
or perhaps a very short story
meanwhile, I’m going down
to get some shopping
and writing a couple of postcards
back up now
heave and strain
I’ll be so fit
by then

Posted for The Unicorn Challenge, a magical challenge hosted by Jenne Gray and C E Ayr, where they provide a photo and we, in turn, provide up to 250 words.

Maybe that’s what I need to do, move into a less accessible apartment! very clever.

Two birds with just one stone? Maybe (giggling). I walked around the garden while thinking – does that count?
Thanks, Dave!

You can probably do anything on this street: walk, shop, and write such an excellent poem!😉 It offers fresh air, which is precisely what a writer mainly needs! 🤗🤙💖

I can imagine that a lovely place like that would be great… You know, I think I need a coffee just now, and maybe a doughnut, and then – write!!! ☕🍩✍️

What a great image, Chris. That’s a long way down! I’d be panting and taking lots of rests on the way up. Hehe. Perfect poem for such a vacation. 🙂

Trust a writer to see two weeks in such a place as an opportunity to write!

A lovely poem. Chris.
People ask me how I put up with climbing so many steps to reach the door to my loft appartment – I tell them it’s cheaper than going to a gym!

Stairs are a good way to get in shape if they don’t kill you first. 🙂 There is something about a vista that moves us to want to write. Lovely poem!

The Photo remindes me of a small town in Italy that I visited about 25 years ago. I was much fitter than I think. Not sure if all the ‘mountain’ climbing would be something I’d want for a holiday today! 🙂

I totally agree! Lovely place but too high now (sadly).

Unless you have famlily – overseas travel is sort of not really in the picture for, well most of us.
