Ah yes, two different specs
one for distance, and the other for close
but in the middle neither is good
especially using the computer
bloody thing.
It’s definitely not the Goldilocks effect
no, not clever at all
but now I’m thinking about breakfast
maybe some nice porridge
instant, of course!

You’re spot on, Chris, that bit in the middle is a puzzle and a pain!

A little nonsense that’s full of sense, Chris!
Yes, that in-between area… Sigh.
I can’t get used to the fact that I now need to put glasses on to eat my porridge though!

I wasn’t sure what I could write about this prompt, but then suddenly this just popped out. Something about middle age (and the rest) seemed almost perfect earlier today. We just have to laugh together don’t we!

Hubby has so many pairs of glasses (distance or close work) he never seems to wear the right pair and can;t find the other. Shame he can’t get on with bi-focals or varifocals like I have.

Oh dear, that’s a shame for your hubby. It’s a bit like my one – he has so many cheap ones they are all around the house, but can we find any of them??

They could be twins then!!!

You are spot on with this one, I have two pairs in every room and even that is not enough sometimes!

Been there before. With no middle ground, I still love my specs. 👓

Oh Chris, your poem made me laugh. I have glasses for distance but I can’t see anything up close when I wear them. The optician gave me mini multifocals which effectively have no script at the bottom so I can at least read Google maps while driving. They are better than the straight distance glasses but not by that much.

I know, it’s just a little more difficult now – sad, but there it is 👓
We just have to laugh, I’m afraid😆

for the first time I got 3 pairs of glasses, reading, computer and distance. Now I can’t find 3 pairs instead of 2….

Aww, shame, but what can anyone do..?

Ah… that is what bi-focals are for! Some have tri-focals… and I saw a few years ago a new type of lens which has honey combs of bi or tri-focal… I think that would make me dizzy!
