is it art
we think so
it’s in a gallery
the colours are brilliant
russet, amber, cerulean and mauve
excellent! let it mingle and bloom
vibrant, that’s what we want
magnificent, such flare
now, get a picture
we have it
art then
is all

As they say, art is in the eye of the beholder- I don’t know who they are- but I’ll take them at their word. Lovely words from you too, Chris!

Beautiful take Chris. Nothing superior than nature in terms of colors and composition. A lovely poem. Thanks for joining in.

A slightly odd take, I admit, but it was such a nice photo, even though I thought it looked like a painting. 🖼️ Glad that you like that, Sadje!

I really like the style you have employed in this poem, Chris. Well written.
And, of course, Art is what ever you believe it to be.

As in a picture the medium used is important. The style you chose fits so well. I read it over and over …. aloud.

That’s art! Where does humanity derive the power of creation for making the arts? From Mother Nature! 😉👍❤️🌹

Wow! Another vocabulary word, “cerulean”. I looked it up and it showed the color, very pretty! The picture actually looks like a window to me. Keep up the poems, and the vocab! 😀

I am so pleased that you saw what I saw! And also I know lots of colours for artists – oils and watercolours have some strange names sometimes.😉🖼️

Have you ever read “Freddy and the Ignormous?” I can’t think of the author offhand, but it’s a pretty old book. I was reading it to my English learners one year and it mentioned the color “puce”, which I had never heard of and had to look up. I loved the “Freddy” books (he was a pig with lots of animal friends) almost as much as “Frog and Toad”! 😂

Aha, ‘puce’ is very English I would say!
