Sewing?
Not my forte,
definitely not.
I can’t darn
I can’t knit
I certainly can’t crochet.
What can I do?
Well, I can turn up my jeans
as I’m rather short.
You see, I’m a writer
…and so
it doesn’t matter what I wear!

My illusions are shattered, Chris, I thought all women could sew and knit!
Fun take!

Careful what you say, CE… us women will stride out!! And, before you even think about typing in the bad old days… don’t. (more giggling)

At one point in my life, I sewed, knitted, crocheted, and darned. Now I write and buy new socks.

The mannikin arms threw me – but the poem was a fun one with that unexpected turn at the end!! 🤩

Well, just a bit of fun. Those mannikin arms were too scary for me, so I missed them out!

Chris, my mother was a professional seamstress with her own business. She could make something out of anything, such as a three piece suite out of unwanted drapes for my father. Truth. Sewing must be a skill that skips a generation because I can’t do anything with a needle and thread. What an absolute failure I am in my mother’s eyes.
