I haven’t climbed this one
it looks doable
shall I try it?
easy to start with
going well
but now it’s getting harder
but that’s the point
slowly does it
and cling on
whoa, that was scary
I’m almost there
and yes… that vista!

For the visually challenged reader, this is a photo-shopped image (time-lapse image) of a man climbing a rock. The photographer has captured different stages of his climb and it looks like many people are climbing the rock. The last stage of his climb is when he is triumphantly sitting on the top of the rock.
Written in response to Sadje‘s What Do You See #290 photo prompt.

Just keep climbing; it will continuously enhance our perspective! 😉🤗💖

But of course! …we think😊
And can we get down?🤔

Certainly, but do be very careful; don’t rush! 😁🙂😆

Hi Willow, I believe what I have written has been put in the naughty spam!
I said about your post around your Tanka Tuesday: Ooh, interesting… and a new one for me. Lovely, and see you soon, Willow.
Please could you find me…

A lovely climb, indeed! Not that I would, but I’ve seen many folks free-climbing the cliffs by Devil’s Lake. My husband Bo did it once as a teen, and neeeeeeeeeeever again lol. xxxx

Chris, your poem feels like a quiet, steady breath — “slowly does it / and cling on” captures that mix of tension and hope in a climb. It seems to me you’ve really invited us to feel the challenge and the reward, just like the vista at the end!

The best views seem to require a little climbing, Chris. In reality and metaphorically. That was a fun photo and get little story. 🙂

More writing than climbing, I would say!😄
