Chilly Nights
twilight
blissful but bare
all the trees are stark now
clouds move more quickly, pink and cream
gorgeous
inside
warming my tea, while staring out
night sky is upon us
and she is here
dear moon

It’s an American cinquain and a reverse cinquain – very nice!

Beautifully done, Chris, I love the comfort, the warmth whilst looking out at the chill of Twilight, appreciating both. 💫

Ah, a summer night… here. Just last night I saw my first lightning bug flicker!

Lightning bugs do not buzz – they blinky-blink 🙂 I didn’t see any last night – but then it was very humid with rain on the way and maybe they were all keeping safe under leaves 🙂

Oh, thanks for that, Jules. Something I didn’t know about those lightning bugs. Cool😊

P.S. – I tried to put your latest post, but it’s not coming up – spam I expect. Still here it is (cos I kept it).
Now that is interesting… What happened? I’m a little confused. A journey around the Earth – or maybe even further… and aren’t they aliens?
Pondering.
But maybe you just dreamed and fell from your bed?
Love this, Chris!

WP can be a bit weird!
I’m delighted that this got you pondering, Chris! Thank you so much for your response…which in itself got me thinking too!
I shall leave things up to your own imagination!
