Paris Photographer – Louis Paulin
The red-headed woman, although rather blonde at the moment, was still wondering where the two gargoyles were; it had been several weeks since she had seen them, although she was convinced that they would pitch up at any moment.
She had been wandering around in that nice cemetery – the one called the Large Quarries, in Montmartre – she smiled to herself, after she saw Scatty a couple of days ago, where she had turned into a fantastic black panther in the night, because she was a shape-shifter, although it was the first time she’d seen that happen – and she almost pinched herself, since it was not the obvious thing to see.
Still smiling, the red-headed woman turned to walk in another direction, and a less used path; and then she saw them.
‘Come on, throw that properly, that’s right, now bowl a ball so that it bounces near to the batter, okay, better… and no, roll it back to me again, and don’t throw it underarm, a bowler will always throw it overarm.’
‘What are you both doing, for heaven’s sake,’ grinned the red-headed woman, ‘I’m so pleased to see you both, by the way,’- ‘likewise,’ said the two gargoyles, who also grinned happily, ‘but can’t you tell what we are doing?’
‘Well, I can see what you are both wearing, nice creamy-white jumpers and long trousers, and also you have those bats and shin-pads at the ready, and yes, it’s called cricket, but playing it in Paris? …are you mad?’

Hmm, playing cricket by the cemetery, and they are all French… maybe they should stick to playing boules!

Yup, France is not a country that plays cricket 🏏

Well with those two in the roster I reckon the French National Cricket Team is on the way for another medal ( since the one in thec1900 Paris Olympics) 😉

Well, there is some cricket going on, and it’s kind of okay. But the shirts have a cockerel on the logo, and that’s very good! 😊

The gargoyles are back on the scene… reviving Cricket in Paris? The Parisian’s may not be happy about that. Good move to have those two up to something Chris.

Well, we hope that the cricket faze was just a one-off. Lets see what those two gargoyles will get up to next time!

Hehe! I don’t think Cricket in a cemetery is a very good idea and add that it’s in Paris makes it officially a very bad idea!!

You are totally right, Val! – but we’ll have to ask those two gargoyles… and soon!

Ah well, cricket is not very well known in France. More often it’s rugby, tennis and cycling. However, those two gargoyles might change everything! 😂

Who knew gargoyles were that much fun! I love it, Chris. Why not play cricket in France, not like anyone’s going to give them a hard time about it, lol
Song takes me back, good one!

Well yes, those two gargoyles have a particular niche, don’t we think?
Also that song… in fact the whole album, that’s one of the first I got!
