Warp and Weft – it’s a Shadorma (twice)

warp and weft
beautiful colours
let’s begin
to weave now
it is mostly bright, bright blue
with a hint of pink

lots to do
as the shuttle moves
quick and turn
and again
it’s not a painting this time
it’s a lovely scarf

  7. So much movement in the verse, Chris, … I love it and the design, (my favourite colour is blue and this is a magnificent mix and match)….you feel you could just reach out and touch the material, …💙

  10. I was just reading how a local museum has a class on harvesting flax and all the steps to turn it into thread to weave… some thread was dyed. But with the limited amount the most that was woven was perhaps a small rectangle or square! It takes time to get natural ‘thread’ 🙂
