we are so busy
this is me, I’m a squirrel
and who’s over there?
tiny wax bills and sun birds
we’re chattering and chirping
there’s two pretty doves
and a couple of weavers
I’m going up now
there are so many creatures
just paradise, isn’t it
~~~
Personification – so interesting!
Written in response to this week’s Tanka Challenge hosted by Robbie Cheadle.
I could feel the quick rhythm of chattering and busy!
There’s a new group of squirrel youngsters where I live…I saw 2 of them racing around the parking lot!! I wanted to call out the window, “slow down, you’re making me dizzy (and tired)!
I understand that. We have many squirrels in our huge palm tree. They live on different storeys and they run all over the place. Hectic! 🐿️🐿️
Lovely, aren’t they. That was my actual photo and I took it only a couple of days ago.
I’ve been so lazy this morning you’ve quite woken me up Chris, … busy busy, … and now I must get on and the sun is beginning to shine too, … as if to tell me, come on feed the birds, … have a great Friday, …💙
Love the picture! And the squirrel’s point of view. I have a bird of paradise that I planted years ago and it has only recently started looking like it’s going to get bigger. No flowers yet though. There are quite a few of them around Fresno so it seems like mine should be doing better than it is. 🤨🌻 We won’t go there…
Our bird of paradise has been in the yard before we moved here – it must be 12 years and it was big then. There is a smaller one which I bought several years ago and that one flowered only quite recently. So don’t give up just yet! 😉🌻😊
Lovely bird of paradise – I do imagine squirrels as chatter boxes!
