  1. Door closed, …and where will the raconteuse journey to? …. And will she finally say who wrote the note??…. These questions and more, maybe or maybe not be answered,… holding my breath here Chris, and going red in the face, …🍷… so I’ll just have a drink instead, …💙

  2. love the storyline/narrative*

    you are bringing the spirit of the Six Sentence Cafe and Bistro to life given Nick’s Rule**

    I will, if you’d let me know when your next Six is ready to go to press, I’ll write a Cafe Six (for the tall, thin man) in that story-verse… heck, if you’d like I can email a draft directly to you (this being the way we used to do ‘walk-ons’ in each other’s Sixes, i.e. show each other the scene setup and have at it)

    that might be fun!

    as always the SSC&B is ‘a virtual place where fiction becomes real(er)’

    let me know

    *always have trouble with the distinction…oh well

    ** early on at the Cafe, as you might recall, he suggested, other than reference to and some minimal assertions, it might be best to avoid ‘writing another writers character’ which, of course we all, seeing the sense (and the challenge in this admonition) try to adhere to

    • What I suggested at that time (and I still do) was not avoiding writing another writer’s character.
      I simply said that when we do , for continuity, to do so keeping the core ethos/mythos of said character.

    • Gosh, that would be fun, Clark (or should I say, the tall, thin man).

      Basically, we, or rather, you, will just continue to find out what is going on in the Café. In my version several people (mostly Proprietors, but not exclusively) are in the MO and they will start to talk. Maybe she (that’s the red-headed woman aka la Raconteuse) might spill the beans this time, but maybe not… etc.

      And, of course, we would never write each other’s characters – far too confusing!

      I will be writing next Wednesday with the Word of the Week (Denise) plus the three things challenged on that day. So mine will be out properly on the Six Sentence on Thursday. Therefore you should have no difficulty to do it on Sat/Sun. Yes?

      No need to email, just put it out!

  3. Oh! I hope no one is claustrophobic! That would make a cozy gathering into a heart pounding panic! I too wonder about the note but I trust in the narrator to reveal all when the time is right!
