a
hostage?
no, don’t be silly!
this is a stage (almost)
she was wearing her glad rags
as she skipped the light fandango
it
was only
a very tiny flat
not a hotel, nor a hostel
it was all her own… just for the summer
and she’ll bathe before running across the Rialto Bridge

This image shows a Summer morning, at Rialto Bridge, Venice, Metropolitan City of Venice, Italy. We can see a young lady/ woman standing on the pier, looking back.

Nicely done, Chris! And Procol Harum had some great songs.
(When I saw the headline “All White,” I thought of Trump’s 99% white administration in the multicultural U.S. 😦 )

Oops, I just thought about her dress and her trainers… all white and whiteness. Not about ‘That Man’. Eish, no!

You did nothing wrong, Chris. Just the way my mind is working these days. 🙂

I like how you framed this, Chris — the mix of lightness and unease gives the scene real texture ✨

I’d have liked to be that girl, both practical and frilly, living life on her own terms in an exotic city.
Love that song btw. Brought me way back!
