  1. Most excellent continuation of an excellent storyline… nice work accounting for those in the ‘other timeline’ meeting the challenge of maintaining two contemporaneous stories in a common location (our SSC&B)

We’ll need the joint for a short time only, ‘we’ being Rosetta and the Sophomore (who’s real name apparently is Ethan, go figure!).

Seeing how Lou and Ian have already left, Anya is still talking to the two young people.

fyi Anya Clarieaux is located in Chicago and she don’t hardly ever leave her high rise office (the Red Building at the top of the post), where she runs the Omni Corporation.

    mums the word

    damn! this is fun

    • Excellent… it does (and more, probably). Like the way it’s going… two stories running together. The name ‘Ethan’ – is inspired!

My red-headed writer will continue in the MO and around the main bistro, also it seems the lovely Reena will make an appearance (I am hoping).

      Fun indeed!!

      • That will be fun! Reena visiting the SSC&B!

couple of thoughts… maybe Tom can call the Manager’s office and simply say, ‘There’s someone here asking for you by name… (possible description)

Of course the way to the Manager’s office is to walk to the end of the bar that runs down the right side wall from just inside the coat check room (man! do we have an actual ‘hat check girl’?!? (the title of which is so wrong and anachronistic by today’s standards… but… but! this is the Six Sentence Cafe & Bistro …we’re a fricken island in the stream of time….)

probably should check with Nick and Mimi and Denise

        but it’d sure be cool

back to my description of the floorplan/layout of the SSC&B:

so, after passing the coat-check room the bar starts and runs all the way down the width of the room (of course, in the middle of the rows of liquor and such behind the bar is the entrance to the kitchen… (simple double swinging doors (with one round window in each)) which is, of course Tom’s domain.

end of the bar, wide opening. to the left the restrooms to the right the perpetually semi-dark hallway and on the right, the Managers office.

        • Hmm, that seems to cover everything – thanks for that.

I am only thinking that Reena will have a tiny bit (don’t tell her), maybe not even say anything; in fact, I have already written a couple of ideas, including that Tom will probably just say… it’s her, and her name.

I’m on the ball already – can’t you see what I’ve written on my notebook yesterday?

Plus, another ‘hmm’… ‘hat check girl’ get into the real world… but, maybe, a young guy instead? (giggle) – probably not enough time this time anyway…

  2. I’ll get right to it, Chris! I remember the painting. As Nick said, it was of a sailing boat, a frigate whose name I can’t remember. I remember what happened when la Raconteuse was in the Manager’s Office…. the painting came alive (insert wavy lines here, lol). I admit I don’t recall what our red headed writer did or….. went? for a short time.

    • Glad that you remember that painting, Denise! There was a bit of a hiatus – a little bit of disappearing for a while. But la Raconteuse seems it might be useful to find that very strange painting again. However, it might have to stay in the background for some time – who knows?
