She’s a busy lady!
She’s beautiful,
She’s clever,
She’s making a nest.
She weaves, and weaves,
Delicate but strong,
She continues to weave,
Until she’s happy.
She’ll finds some food,
More than she needs,
But she’ll keep it for later,
Now she’ll doze for a while.
A few days later,
She’s even busier,
She’s making more silk,
It will be her nursery.
Do you know her?
I’m sure you’ve guessed…
She’s more than just a spider,
She’s a lucky lady!

In this image we can see branches of a pine tree. There is an intricate spider web woven between two of the branches. The background is blurry, but the golden light suggests a forest or garden setting.
Written in response to Sadje‘s What Do You See #314 photo prompt.

Beautifully woven Chris, just like the lucky lady, … and yes, those silken webs, intricately designed, highlighted by dew on a morning, … work of art, … have a great Monday, …💙

Well, you explained it very well about that spider, Penn. Thanks so much – lovely Monday, too! 😊

She must be busy, as her nature calls for during this particular season! She also helps purify the air! A beautiful poetic verse.😉🌹

Ha ha good one, Dave! You know that many years ago I’d said that World Wide Web would never catch on. Who could be completely wrong about that – was it only me?

I also had some skepticism about the WWW, back in the mid-’90s. 🙂

That was a fun poem. We had a garden orb weaver that spun a huge (3-4 feet across) and beautiful circular shaped web. He/she spun it in the evening and took it back down in the morning every day.

The image gave her identity away, Chris, but what a lovely description of her busy work in your poem. And a beautiful act of creation!

Maybe I should have shown that photo on the end of the poem rather than the beginning? Would we have known anyway, I wonder? Still I had fun. Thanks so much, Diana.

That would have made it more of a mystery, but it would be lovely either way.

One time I had three baby spiders in my dryer! I was able to relocate all three back outside! Spiders do good. But there are still a few to be wary of. 🕷️

All spiders await the spring around here…save for the occasional house spider now. The snow’s taken care of that! 🙂
