Ship ahoy (or boat in fact)

This image shows a sailboat in a vast body of water. The skyline/horizon is clear, and the water is calm. This photo was taken from another boat nearby.

  1. I’ve been on a big ship overnight… but not a small craft. Could be very peaceful, or maybe scary depending on how experienced the crew is! I went and took a little visit – quite a bit of water around Cape Town! 🙂

    • I have to say I’m not a great sailor myself. Big boats like ferries are okay – many times we have been in the Greek Islands, and mostly fine. We once went from the UK to Spain in the Bay of Biscay and that was very choppy, and not nice at all. Narrow boats in the UK are much better on a canal. As far as Cape Town, I would say just stay on the land – too vast from there!

  2. I enjoy all water. Warm oceans best, but little water places are OK too. I think I let others swim in cold lakes though! We’ve got a big river here that hubby and I kayaked in. I’d like to do that again when the weather gets warmer. Our little creek isn’t deep enough to kayak from one end to another (where the roads cross over it). I tried when we borrowed one when we had a tree fall in the creek.
