Squirrel time!
As the two of them
pranced and jumped.
What to do today?
We scoot down
from that great palm tree,
fun for us!
Ooh, so look at this.
It’s a bicycle, isn’t it,
can we jump on this?
Well, I’ve got the saddle,
and you’ve got the basket,
but no-one to pedal.
Oh, I think we need to go,
and quickly,
well, we’re just naughty squirrels,
aren’t we!

This image shows a white bicycle parked near roadside, on a green tree lined street. Near the parked bike is a road sign that says, “Follow that dream”.
Written in response to Sadje‘s What Do You See #357 photo prompt.

A delightful and naughty poem about 2 squirrels Chris. Loved it. Thanks for joining in.

Two naughty squirrels claiming a bicycle they can’t ride, one on the saddle, one in the basket, plotting their escape. And that sign right there: ‘Follow that dream.’ Chris, you’ve made the whole thing perfect. Those squirrels ARE following their dream, aren’t they? 💙 / Love & Hugs / Khadija 💕🤗

I like the quote. Children are like naughty squirrels. I like the way you get into their minds.
