These chunky snails arrived with the Romans or the Normans – Crispina Kemp
~~~
I’m a pretty snail,
I’m patient and persistent,
I do like my house.
I’m a pretty snail,
I am rather chunky
but that’s not a problem.
I’m patient and persistent,
I admit I’m slow,
but slow is often good.
I do like my house,
it’s an excellent place,
and I bring it with me!
Inspired I would say, since she’s a special snail!
Thanks so much, Dave.
I like how you’ve ordered the lines, making it almost a mirror… until that last line 💖
I love them, especially cooked the Parisian way!
But I guess it’s a ‘love it or hate it’ kind of dish!
What about you, are you a fan of escargots or not at all?
Interesting. Are these the ones they eat?
We had something very similar in our garden in Liverpool. We found them, looked after them (but no food for them) for about 2 weeks, and we cooked them with lots of butter, garlic and parsey. Nice.
