a jagged edge, it’s blurring, it’s dark and so cold
tears are dropping across her face, a hand waves
a blunt object appears, it’s unearthing but what?
suddenly something shatters and scatters across the room
she’s moaning, she’s scared, hardly surprising
the hand appears again
what is it doing?
but it’s gone
wake up
BANG

my dancing days
were delightful
I’d shimmy and shake
boogie down
and dance the night away
there was hip hop
salsa, samba and rumba
what a wonderful time it was
my dancing days are over
but I reminisce often
you see I was
that dancing queen
back then

Inside and Outside

Pitter patter raindrops,
as I’m looking outside,
while that pretty bench
continued to drip, drip.

I’m tempted to go out,
since it was not cold,
in fact, it was rather warm,
so why not do so?

I grabbed my umbrella,
and then ran outside,
I danced across that pretty bench
and what fun I had.
