A smile creeps around the corners of your face,
a faraway gaze mists your eyes,
remembering the hugs and tears
you shared
with each of the little ones.
They’ve long grown up
and fled the nest
But you hold on to those memories
Just in case
they need them again.

Yes…. the reason I never wanted children was to avoid what you described.
I ended up with a woman with a young child, after 11 years, she is like my own. I know feel the pains I wanted to avoid. But the joys made them worth it

Such is the story of a dog, a bear, and a rabbit in my house. And my own little dog, tucked among Blondie’s animals. xxxxxx

I have what is left of a Lovey animal from when I was three. I need to re-stuff it – barely any fluff left.
But I love it just the same.

Aww. I have my old bear too. His pads have been replaced and he lost his squeak many years ago. He still has a special place though 🙂
