Just one tiny cake
a candle-topped treat
two bites big
is all I can eat.
Gone are the days
of parties and thrills
just make sure
I take all my pills.
But with memories rich
I’ll celebrate
don’t you know
I’m a hundred and eight?*

😀 Why 98 and why not 108? Just kidding…..a delightful poem. Brought a big smile on my face as I read it through.

I’m pleased it made you smile, Goutham 🙂 108 works, too! Maybe I should change it… in fact, I think I shall.

One of my great aunts wrote a few poems about being in her 90s. I think her upbeat attitude contributed to her long life. 😀

I have high ambitions both of reaching that age and of managing a full size cake! Pithy and witty as lawys, Chris.
