Making preparations for the coming festivities, modest though they are again this year, I gaze out of my kitchen window. Carols from Cambridge are playing in the next room as I chop and stir. Craning up at the wide blue African sky, I think of all the friends Iโve made across the globe. The storytellers, the poets and the bloggers who through their words, thoughts and dreams make my world all the richer every day.
warm wind blows
while thoughts from abroad
embrace me
Be happy, be safe, and let us look to a better future for the world, my writing friends!
Hugs and good wishes from my part of the world Chris. I hope itโs a wonderful day for you

Actually, there is a certain satisfaction to that, isn’t there. I had a go at mine earlier in the week.

Thanks, Joe. Hope you enjoyed yours!
I was so moved by Tortured and Tormented – review on the way. I just started reading Hemingway’s Boat: Everything He Loved in Life, and Lost, a present to myself from the local bookstore that actually stocks my books (although no sales yet).

Very quiet Christmas, but lovely.
Here is my kitchen window poem, as a contribution:
running (wilder)
the strawberries
are running
wild
and wilder
a flower
at my knees

Still messed it up. The first line is a title. Feel free to delete, Chris. I’m being clumsy.
