so many people
reaching out more
rage, rage, rage again
too much pollution
too many plastic bags and bottles
it should be a better place
so make it happen
just a little help
and hope

For the visually challenged reader, this image shows a view of a walkway/ street, at a time when the shadows cast by the sun are out of proportion larger than the people walking the street.
Written in response to Sadje‘s What Do You See #235 photo prompt

The image tells all; there is no need to explain!!

A wonderful use of the prompt. Love how you used the colours to shout out such an important message to stop fighting and start helping, well done, Chris.

Your poem reminds me of the big environmental movement in the 1970s. How could we have ended up in such an awful mess?

I know, how did it happen… dreadful.

It should be, and it could be. I hope for the sake of future generations it will be a better place.

Yes, let’s hope so – for now and in the future.

Your poem is just right for Earth Day! And that photo is amazing. I’ve never seen shadows like that, maybe it’s the angle it was taken from?🤔

I have no idea how the photo came out. I was just pleased that my poem would work for Earth Day!

Every little bit helps. We are using cloth bags, shopping with minimal packaging in mind, recycling and reusing, and reducing waste…

Exactly, and I’m pleased what you’re doing. Well done, Val.

I have quite a few sturdy plastic store brand totes and cloth bags for groceries. I finally had to pitch one the other day because the handle fabric had pretty much worn out. I might have been able to creat new handles… but I really have quite a few.
I’ve also started collecting clear bottles from sauces etc, I can use a plastic canning jar lid and keep dry goods in them. 🙂
If we all do just a little bit. I like reading about groups that go to sea shores or parks just to pick up the trash (which shouldn’t have ever been tossed…). 😀
