  1. I remember when I was about to be laid off a job. Someone gave me the book “Who moved my cheese? by Spencer Johnson. Its about moving on and trying something new. The red head woman is moving forward with digital art and still having fun! Bravo! What LIVE gargoyles will be bring is a twist I look forward to. Nice chapter in the story Chris.

    • Gosh yes, I also remember getting that book about the ‘Who moved the cheese‘, not that I remember what it’s about now, although I am sure it was useful back in the day. Now I can make things up – and as weird as I can manage. Thanks, Darnell.

  2. Wonderful, Chris. You completely drew me into the mystery of this person and what was happening. Something supernatural in the works, and you created enough empathy for the character that now I want more. Nicely done!

  3. 😱 The gargoyles are coming alive?! I hope they are friendly ones! Along with some of the commenters, I like the way you are drawing parallels with the Raconteuse. It seems like we’ve all had to kind of “re-invent” ourselves lately. Can’t wait for the next installment!

  4. I’m glad the red-head woman is having some fun and finding a new way.
Funny how empty old buildings entice us in though.
I can imagine the sunset over the Paris rooftops, and shiver as I wonder about the gargoyles… Nice tension.
PS Thanks for Jacques Brel – it’s been a while since i heard him.

  5. And the red head woman is on another adventure. A bit laid back, a mystery man into non-fungible tokens and who creates digital art. Wait a minute! Did I say “laid back”?!
2 Gargoyles just came alive atop the roof of an old, abandoned building. There’s a little more than meets the eye going on, eh Chris? Red head woman is holding out on us, lol.
