he was in his prime
he was often just this thinking thought
on his lonesome time
you see he was a poet, but he had lost his inspiration ~
he held his notebook
several pens and pencils
clattered on the ground
he stared up, looking at the great tree, he should climb up it ~
further and further
he climbed, so much better here
he’s able to write

For the visually challenged reader, this image shows a huge tree. Its branches are growing both vertically and horizontally. A man is resting comfortably on one of the horizontal branch, quite high up.
Written in response to Sadje‘s What Do You See #282 photo prompt.

Yup, inspiration can be gained by changing our station. Thanks Chris for joining in with this lovely poem.

Oh yes, I have a couple of spots I adore within the trees. You will know if I was writing there, the amount of animals in my stories will double!

I’ve been known to sit in one of the comfy chairs in the library and write in my notebook there! Perfect.

While I can’t say for sure if he is a poet, his eagerness to start is encouraging! However, I can definitely confirm that “she” is a poet.😉🤗👍❤️

Well yes, ‘she’ is still trying to find the best words, and the ones which fit in the right place! 😉🤔😄

Chris, this has such a peaceful vibe, and I love how it captures that moment of inspiration found in solitude.

What a lovely response to the prompt, Chris. Rouses my curiosity. You should now just go ahead and tell us what he wrote while lying up there. He found such a great way to tackle writer’s block.

Now that’s a thought. I shall try to do a similar poem about the young poet… maybe. Thanks for that, Lam!

I can almost see you just now, Jude. Maybe you are going out near a bit of the forest where you can write.✍🏽🌳

Ah, if you’re manifesting with me, then it’ll happen soon.
I think I’ll draft like 14 poems so I can post everyday 2weeks straight and take vengeance upon my absence 😅
