    • Glad that you liked that, Carol Anne. Maybe you could get a small palm tree around your place, I am sure it would grow very quickly. It would be warm enough in Ireland.😉

    • No red ones, but there are two different types of squirrels here. We have grounds squirrels which are brownish colour with thinner tails and are from here, and also we have the grey squirrels which where brought out from Cecil Rhodes, back in around 1900.

Both types live together, even in our great big palm tree. Fascinating!

      • I love your palm tree, and how wonderful that the squirrels get on so well. My grandson, Nico, loved watching our squirrels run along the fence., and wanted to know why they didn’t fall down. 🥰

  1. This is such a fun and creative take on the prompt—I love the imagery of squirrels hiding and scurrying around! It actually reminds me of how chaotic it was when we had our cabinets refinished recently; everything was “hidden away” for a while, and now it feels like a fresh start, just like those little creatures waking up and moving around underground. Great post!

  2. I love this one! Squirrels are cute, I have them in my back yard too. There are a fair amount of palm trees in Fresno, in fact we had two of them years ago. The squirrels climb up in the tree on one side of my house and run across the roof and climb down the tree on the other side. Really you’re not supposed to have branches touching your roof, because rats can do that too, which would not be cool.
