‘Something delicious to eat this evening,’ as they walked through the hall to the dining room and sat down.
‘We need to order, but we also need to do something else.’
‘True. We should crane around the tables and chairs.’
‘We maybe could have a little look in the library – there is one, isn’t there?’
‘Plus, we could also duck into the kitchen, we could see what is best.’
They stood up, leaving their napkins.
So what happen next?

‘I’ve got it,’ she said. ‘It’s me, Miss S in the hall, with the candlestick.
That’s it, we were playing Cluedo!

Ducking and duck, indeed! Worked well, I thought. 🤣🤣
p.s. Yet another problem on spam (and nothing to do with food). WP wasn’t happy, so I popped a note to you on FB earlier today. 😉

Thanks for getting back to me! I’m not sure what’s happening with the WP. Two weeks ago, I even found myself blocked from accessing my account! Still, I appreciate your efforts, dear Chris. 🥰🙏😘

A multifaceted piece, Chris! Perhaps one of the books in the library is the memoir by a certain 1967 dinner guest: Sidney Poitier. 🙂

I would love to play out one of those murder mystery weekends sometime. Very clever idea.

Oh, I dunno. Every time I watch one of those murder weekends on TV, someone really gets murdered.

I have to say I do like some of those. My favourite is The Brokenwood Mysteries at the moment, and it’s from New Zealand! Don’t know if you get that one?

Yes, my husband and I are HUGE fans of “The Brokenwood Mysteries.” We just wish we didn’t have to wait so long for a new episode!

A perfect place for a book club… and also a similar place in a writing group, like yours, Darnell. 😊
