Confusing? More than confusing… what does this mean?
How should I know?
Me neither…
…and you?
Hmm.
Hmm.
Very, very odd.
Yep, we’re stumped.
We’re looking around.
There are neighbours and colleagues.
Such a confusing sign.
Where did that appear, by the way?
Shall we take some pictures with our phones?
Ooh yes, let’s do that.
Tee-hee, some selfies too.
Let’s all get together, and all get closer.
Soon everyone was busy with their phones.
Now all are going to their favourite social media places.
Such an event!
They’re all going viral!!
But meanwhile, that odd sign had been removed.

Yes, indeed!
p.s. I did make a comment in your story about ‘In Reverse’ but I think it went to spam (hmm).

The only thing I might say if involved in a traffic stop is: “But, but officer?” 😂

What else could you have said? Well, nothing!!
p.s. I tried to make a comment about wonderful Delbert, but yet another problem in spam I imagine.

So it seemed so. Thanks for that, Neil. But also I was unable to comment on your side about you sign, and perfect it was! (that spam strikes again)

A baffling sign indeed, Chris. Perhaps it means “write an excellent poem about me”?

What an interesting concept – meaning me?? Gosh, thanks Dave!

I feel like that sign belongs in someone’s dorm room, because it sure as blazes doesn’t make sense for a road, lol!

I can see that makes sense. Thanks for that, Jean xxxxx

‘Confused? You will be’ …( came to mind from, Soap? A TV sitcom ages ago ) … hmm, Chris, … don’t go this way, red for danger, Or maybe the sign writer was bored? …😉…. 💙

My understanding is that this Canadian traffic sign is uncommon, so no wonder all the confusion. Yes, remove it.

I love that this confusion has caused a gathering of sorts!
It is a Canadian sign – and I wonder if it is only used here in Quebec… btw, everyone I showed it to had no idea what it was for!!

And what does it do or say? Do let us know, Dale! 😊

So… it is used when a road up ahead is too narrow for two cars; the direction of the black arrow has right of way and the dotted red line must cede and wait their turn.
(I’m becoming an expert with this one – I had to look it up!!!)

Oh that makes perfect sense. It just looks a bit odd (still). However, there’s something similar in other countries, although I can’t actually remember what it’s like. 🤣

Once you know what it means, it makes perfect sense… it’s the initial sighting of it which makes us scrath our heads. I don’t doubt there are variations elsewhere!

Nice one, Chris. Whoever designed it had a wicked sense of humour!

That’s a fun little poetic story. That sign is certainly very confusing. Whoever designed it did not think that through.

It certainly is the sort of sign that would appear on social media. It seems a perfect use for that sign. Clever tale, Chris!
