“So who’s overseeing this place now, eh?” muttered the red-headed writer (aka la Raconteuse) since it was now rather busy in the Room 215, as she looked across to the tall, thin man, then to that small strange four-foot bellhop, all so known as a dumbwaiter, and then to the sweet sprite; plus two made-up people who had just arrived from the closet and now were sitting at two rather nice wingback armchairs.
“Aha, Frank, how lovely to see you,” grinned la Raconteuse, “it’s definitely a crowd now; but, sorry, it seems that I need to follow that little sprite, and I must remember she’s called Moxie, not Honeybun, it seems that she has a plan for me.”
“Come on, be quick,” said Moxie to la Raconteuse, as she pointed to that wonderful clockwork machine, “see, the time… the six bells by the owls will chime very noisily.”
Moxie jumped across several shelves, then scampered down to the floor, while la Raconteuse watched her, then both of them looked at each other, grinned, then stepped across to the closet, since it was free at that time.
La Raconteuse pouted and said: “I have to get into that contraption… really?” – “you can definitely do this,” said Moxie, as she jumped up; “I’m pulling it down again, and all you need to do is sit in it, since it’s a dumbwaiter, and the usual kind.”
So both went up, “what a vista,’ grinned la Raconteuse, “I can see the ocean from here!”

Aw! I loved the name Honeybun! And I consider the time traveler’s real people….

Hmm, time travel people, it’s tricky. But maybe the red-headed writer didn’t realize that she isn’t really real like everyone else… no? 🤔

Oh this is going to be another marvelous adventure.

It sounds like the real dumbwaiter took you and Moxie to the roof for another adventure.

It looks that way. Certainly we think so, but who knows…

A lot of fascinating goings-on in Room 215, Chris! Feels very different than the old TV show “Room 222.” 🙂

Ooh, never heard of Room 222. I don’t think it came to the UK. Shame?

Might have been just an American show, Chris. 🙂 (Set in a high school.)

Okay, I’m officially old. I don’t get Krosh Boogie. I looked it up, and I still don’t get it. 😉

Oh yes, I do think we will meet – we mustn’t miss each other this time. The roof is pretty good… don’t fall though – I fell several weeks ago, and that was where I found that Room 215! Getting excited already…

Room 215 appears the place to be, Chris. So up to the roof, courtesy of the dumb waiter and…. the dumbwaiter! And Moxie of course. The roof was always a special place for the red-headed writer.
(P.S. Cool Vid. Arina Kulikova does a brilliant job. The next vid was just as fascinating!)

Well yes, that flat roof can be often interesting, and more! However, it would be nice to go back into the Café… getting rather peckish – and some coffee soon will be very good! ☕🍰
Also fab vids – glad I manage to find those! Just a punt…

damn! things are jumpin’ at the Six Sentence Café & Bistro
glad Moxie suggested the dumbwaiter, as the darkness in the hallway was getting a bit rambunctious… not in a good way.
love that you can see the ocean from the roof of the building the Café is in…
will be back
(you and Frank and Reelika are just plain killing it! your Sixes are full of v interesting stuff, characters, action like any good installment in a serial story. But even more impressive (and beneficial) is how you’re keeping enough ‘space’ in your narrative(s) that let the rest of us tie into the overall story without conflicting action.)
trés cool yo

Seems to be working, and well too. Really enjoying these moments – who knew the ocean were so close… or so high, or was this an illusion? Hmm.
p.s. – just found you in spam (bother, but back) 🎣

So is the dumbwaiter really a time machine? 🤔 There was a reference in the comments to the show “Room 222”. It’s so funny but every time I think of that, or even see the number 222, the tune of that show’s theme song starts going through my head! 😂

I have to admit, time travel could be… interesting? Is that the word? I’ll see, I guess. 🤔
But sorry, I have never heard about the series called Room 222… seems to be a shame for me! 😊

It probably wasn’t in the UK. It was kind of a weekly drama about a young woman who was a new teacher in a high school, and how she wins over the kids, etc. Not true to life based on my experience as a young woman teaching high school in the late 1980s though!😂

I looked it up, it was listed as a “comedy/drama” and I guess the woman was a student teacher, and she wasn’t really the main character, but I always thought she was. It ran from 1969 to something like 1974.

oh my … the idea of doors opening and closing … there and not there … no fee adventures lead by a fairy name moxie … I just arrived searching for the rooftop garden but first had to take a look at the clocks … it’ll be great to see you La Raconteuse at the bar … as you who talked about the rooftop garden and enticed me to come … though I did forget it was a wee bit unstable … love the idea of stairs and halls that move as the stairs in the story that everyone loved … ie, the wizard story with the kids … made into movies .. that started at the train station with flying brooms yet to be introduced … those moving stairs then reminded me of Escher the print genius who I believe originated the vision of endless stairs … whew!!! Way Off topic … have a great week… but that’s the idea of a great story
