Well it’s not published quite yet, but I’m sure it will. Shall I read some to you, and you can listen? And maybe you might make some comments?
See, I’ve printed all of this out, and it’s in my binder here. I will open it at the start.
I’m quite pleased about the very beginning. It flows rather nicely since the main protagonist, well, she’s pretty feisty and she has some large and heavy keys, and that’s the crux of the whole story, even at the first paragraph.
Oh, you’re going out? Not ready to listen to what I’ve written?

Surprising that keys didn’t “unlock” the interest of readers. 🙂

Right there, I’d be crushed. I’m too recessive to even try out for library readings. A yawn would do me in.

I think the person left to go and paint! (just kidding — but had to say it cos you do mention painting often in your posts).
The story brings me back to the first time I saw an author with a printed manuscript. It was 1989 and I was getting copies in a Kinkos. He was in line with me and his huge manuscript was in his hands – and he briefly shared a quick comment about it – it was so foreign to me at the time and since then, I have seen many printed and digital manuscripts – and I hope your character here finds the perfect support!

I was just thinking about what used to happen. Posting things at a post office like new poems and short stories, and maybe were published in a magazine. No such thing called interweb!
