“Dramatic!”
“Awesome!”
“It’s only the sun coming through the clouds.”
“We do remember what happened some years ago.”
“It was bizarre.”
“Nah, that was just a trick in the sky.”
“You can’t diss it.”
“We’re all there at the time.”
“I’m saying nothing.”
“Well, we are still looking.”
“And there is still something rather strange up there.”
“Hmm.”
“Come on, let’s walk a bit.”
“Yep, up there.”
“Hmm, if I must.”
So they walked up there, while still looking up.
“Oh wow, that was defo a UFO.”
“And off it went.”
“Bugger… and ouch.”
“Oh, can we help you up?”

There are echoes of ‘Waiting for Godot” in this piece, I enjoyed reading.

Ah yes, an excellent analogy – what a wonderful play, by the way.

you’re welcome Chris.
Would you consider adding a link to the previous episodes? It makes for easier binge reading sessions.

Ah yes, I could do that… I got rather lazy I am afraid.

lol.. or maybe you just forgot. I tend to forget a lot of those little details when I am in the writing zone.

Maybe they were just being dramatic because of the dramatic view.

Nicely done with the ambiguity, Chris! Of course the sun is also a UFO: Undeniably Frying Object.

That’s the one… “Undeniably Frying Object” a super spoonerism! 🤣

What price a sore knee if one gets to see a UFO?!

I once thought I saw a UFO. I was a teenager on a camping trip with my friends near Lake Mead which was near where I lived in Las Vegas. It was also near the fabled Area 51 which was then the testing grounds for the new (back then) Air Force stealth aircraft. What I saw was probably a very real government test, just a point of light in the sky to me.

That’s a fun poem story and a great picture. When I was in the Swedish army in northern Sweden, on the border between Sweden and Finland we saw something remarkable. There was a huge blue/green shiny elliptical object in the sky. It turned out to be a natrium cloud left behind a Russian intercontinental missile sent from Murmansk, a Soviet navy base not too far from where we were.

My goodness! That must have been rather scary? Also I just looked up ‘a natrium cloud’ – I hadn’t heard of that. Interesting.

Oh I just googled it myself. I should have said “natrium exhaust cloud” or “sodium exhaust cloud”. It is something a rocket can create in the upper atmosphere. However, it is not just sodium. Sodium is seeding the cloud but it is mostly water droplets. It is shiny and really weird looking though. The SpaceX rocket has created some.

So good Chris- made me laugh- a high-drama UFO sighting with the relatable action of tripping over while looking at the sky😆
